string | Class Name of the item that will be overriden to new stacksize |
integer | new stacksize of the specified item |
boolean | if false, that means that the real stack size is ItemStackSizeMultiplier * MaxItemQuantity for that item if true, it uses MaxItemQuantity directly and ignores the multiplier |
Example:
ConfigOverrideItemMaxQuantity=(ItemClassString="PrimalItemAmmo_ArrowTranq_C",Quantity=(MaxItemQuantity=543, bIgnoreMultiplier=true))this will make the Tranqarrows stack to 543 items per stack

integer | Level to configure |
integer | Points needed to reach level |
This directive can be specified twice in the configuration file. The first time it appears, the values provided will configure player levels. The second time it appears, the values provided will configure dinosaur levels.
Because of this, each time the directive is used, it must list all of the levels players (or dinosaurs) can reach on the server. One argument must appear for each desired level. Values for must be sequential, starting from zero. Keep in mind that the last 15 levels are used for ascension, meaning that you have to put 15 extra levels in your configuration file.
The examples provided here are split into multiple lines for space considerations. In the configuration file, an entry must be placed on a single line.
LevelExperienceRampOverrides=( ExperiencePointsForLevel[0]=1, ExperiencePointsForLevel[1]=5, ... ExperiencePointsForLevel[64]=1000) LevelExperienceRampOverrides=( ExperiencePointsForLevel[0]=1, ExperiencePointsForLevel[1]=5, ... ExperiencePointsForLevel[34]=1000)The first example specifies 50 player levels and 15 ascension levels. The second example (when placed in the configuration file after the first example) specifies 35 dinosaur levels.
This option must be repeated for each player level configured on the server; if there are 65 player levels available, this option should appear in the configuration file 65 times. The first appearance of the option configures engram points for reaching level 1. The next one configures engram points for level 2, and so on all the way to the 65th appearance, which configures engram points for level 65.

Best ARK Settings For Single Player (2021)
The single-player mode is a cool feature for most gamers. For ARK, it’s only you and the island packages. You won’t need to deal with other aggressive players – if that’s what you desire.
An example is the ARK’s Survival Evolved. Here, you are the main character. As a single-player, you have the benefit of exploring the strange island alone.
ARK comes with a few challenges, many players don’t know how the best setting for a single player. That is what this guide addresses. Keep reading!
ARK General Settings For Single Player
If you want to play ARK as a single player, open the game and select ‘Host/Local’. You will find 3 tabs on the menu where the general settings are located. Find the ‘General’ tab to do this.
Now, make an adjustment to the following:
- Dino Resistance. Use 0.5. It means dinos will take half damage, making them a bit tougher. You will experience more exciting gameplay with this setting. Also, it saves you from becoming overpowered.
- Difficulty. Set it to 1.
- Player Resistance. Use 0.5 as your new setting. There is a clear difference between a vulnerable human and one made of paper. When you give your character this resistance setting, it protects you whenever you get pinned down by some troodons or raptors.
- Dino Harvesting Damage. Set it to 3.
- XP Multiplier. Set it to 10. This is quite high but you are free to adjust it to what feels good to you.
- Harvest Amount. Set this to 2.
- Player Character Food Drain. Set it to 2.
- Dino Character Food Drain. Setting it to 3 is cool. With enough food via the harvest amount, hunger is under control.
- Maximum Difficulty checkbox. Please check the box to enable it. What this does is to allow wild creatures to spawn with higher levels once in a while. It makes your gameplay more interesting. Also, the higher the level, the more unique the wild creatures’ strengths, and weaknesses become.
- Taming Speed. Use 5. Increase it if that’s what you want.
- Show Creative Mode checkbox. This is an option that a single-player finds under the pause menu. What does it do? It simply makes a player invincible! With the creative mode turned on, one can build or craft anything for free. Also, you can toggle the option on or off at any given time. Whenever you have any form of bug, the option would save you. Always make it available for unexpected bugging. Use it even if you don’t intend to use it as a cheat tool or any sort of experiment. Also, the “Show Creative Mode” option can teach you about the available engrams, the exciting crafting recipes, till your next exit time or when next you reload the game. Remember, the option is in the pause menu.
- Check the “Allow Multiple Platform Floors” box to enjoy your gameplay.
- Check the “Disable Structure Placement Collision” box.
- Also, check the “Allow Unlimited Respecs” box.
Playing the ARK adventure game alone can be very fun. The settings should give you an excellent single-player gaming experience.
Just make the simple adjustments above. Happy gaming!
Ark Survival Evolved is one of steams most played games. It has consistently been one of the Top 50 most played games on Steam. Now with Epic making the game free for all has resulted in an extreme rise of players. More and more gamers wanted to know which are the best settings for Ark Survival Evolved. So without further ado here are the best graphics settings for High FPS in Ark Survival Evolved.
Graphics settings Ark Survival Evolved:

If you have already optimized your system for gaming then the only thing you need to do is to use the right graphics settings.
Resolution: Max
Impacts Graphics quality a lot and thus it is recommended that you use the same resolution as your monitor. Lower resolutions cause blurry textures are bad for your eyes since it causes eye strain.
Windowed mode – Fullscreen
Fullscreen mode as its the most efficient for lag-free gaming. You also get a great viewing experience which I feel is a must for gaming. Windowed mode is known to cause lag issues in certain systems better go with fullscreen.
Resolution scale – Max
Do not change this setting keep it at max. Lowering the resolution scale results in extremely bad gameplay that will make you want to quit the game. I don’t recommend it ever.
World Tile Buffer – Medium or Low
This setting is related to your graphics card and VRAM. If you have less than 4GB of GPU VRAM, set World Tile Buffer to ”Low” everyone else should go with medium. This setting does have a high impact on FPS so the medium settings is suited for most systems playing ark survival evolved.
View distance – Medium
It deals with the render distance. Long-distance rendering might be useful but it takes a lot of CPU and GPU performance that low and mid systems cannot afford. If you have more than 6GB VRAM go with high otherwise medium is best.
Anti-Aliasing – Low
This setting helps smoothen the edges of in-game objects and makes the game look good. but it needs a lot of GPU resources. For low and mid-end systems Low antialiasing is recommended. High-end systems can choose medium and high settings.
Post Processing – Low or medium
This affects graphic details and rendering of objects in the game. Low gives the best FPS but lowers graphics quality. It can be used by systems with less than 4GB VRAM. Medium is recommended for mid-end systems with 4GB or higher graphics cards.
General Shadows – Low
Shadows are one of the resource-consuming settings in any game. They are known to hog a lot of VRAM and GPU resources. I Recommend setting them to low in order to get a good FPS boost in Ark.
Terrain Shadows – Low
The same explanation as General Shadows. You are better off keeping this setting low. Unless you have an RTX Super card I don’t recommend using high settings for terrain shadows.
Textures – Medium or High
Textures are the main reason why we were saving so much VRAM in other settings. You need to use medium settings if you have less than 4GB VRAM. If you have more than 4GB you can use High or Epic texture quality. It makes the game look awesome so I recommend do not go below medium.
Sky Quality – Low
Move the slider to as low as possible. No benefit to amazing skies if your game is lagging. You get a good FPS boost when you put this setting to low.
Ground Clutter Density – Low
By decreasing this slider to the lowest level you will get fewer flowers and stones on the ground but it will greatly increase the FPS of the game. If you have a low-end system move this slider to the extreme left. The FPS gain is worth the sacrifice of some grass and stones.
Ground Clutter Distance- Low
This setting deals with the rendering distance of objects on the ground. This only deals with ground clutter so you can safely lower it without losing any resources in-game.
Mesh Level of Detail (LOD) – Medium
I recommend keeping this setting at medium. It does impact graphics quality. For most systems, I feel the medium is good enough. You can lower it if you want even more FPS at the cost of graphics quality.
High-Quality Anisotropic Filtering – Off
This setting helps creates smoother-looking objects and edges. It consumes a lot of GPU processing power because of the filtering effect. I recommend that you disable it in ARK.
Motion Blur – off
Disable in all games. There is no benefit to this setting. You only get lag instead.
Film Grain – Off
An unnecessary feature that adds no benefit. You can safely disable it in ark survival evolved graphics settings.
Distance Field Ambient Occlusion – Off
This setting enables soft shadows for distant objects in the game. It consumes a lot of GPU resources which is why we advise you to turn it off
Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) – off
Similar to the above settings this setting enables soft shadows for nearby objects instead of distant objects. The game looks slightly better but there is no real in-game advantage of this setting. Turn if off to boost fps and performance.
Dynamic Tessellation – off
Disable this setting. It does add to the graphics but only on newer graphics cards. Its a bit GPU intensive so enable it only if you have more than 4GB VRAM.
Distance Field Shadowing – Off
Another setting related to shadows that you can safely disable. Since we have turned off the other settings you can easily disable this as well.
High-Quality Materials – Off
If you have more than 8GB RAM and more than 4GB VRAM enable this option for better quality graphics. If not disable it to save your resources. It has a minor effect on FPS thus if your system can take it then enable it.
Sub Surface Scattering – Off
It creates a scattering effect on in-game objects when light shines on them. It makes the game look more realistic. It should be disabled for low-end systems and enabled for mid-end systems.
High-Quality VFX – Off
It affects water quality in-game. It’s not that important to the gameplay and you can safely disable it for more fps in ark survival evolved.
Simple Distance Character Movement – On
This is an option that needs to enabled. It uses simple models for distant objects and character models and thus helps save graphics and VRAM. It also lessons CPU load which is a must for low-end systems.
High-Quality LODs – On for mid-end/off for the low end
Improves the level of details for objects and characters in-game. If you have a 6GB VRAM GPU then enable it otherwise disable it. This setting needs more VRAM.
This setting can help mid and high-end systems load faster provided they have more VRAM and RAM in general. For low-end systems disable this setting, for high-end systems enable it.
Color Grading – On
Slightly improves color accuracy you can enable it. It has a very low impact on FPS thus even low-end systems can enable this for better color accuracy in-game.
Light Bloom – Off
Unnecessary light effects that can be safely disabled to save resources.
Light Shafts – Off
Unnecessary light effects that can be safely disabled to save resources.

ARK: Survival Evolved Advanced Configuration
This page contains various settings on how to customize and improve your ARK server for you and your players. Please note, that this is not a complete list of all settings that are available.
General ARK Settings
Difficulty and Wild Dino Levels
Both loot and wild dino levels are calculated by two variables: Difficulty Offset and Override Official Difficulty (OOD). When adjusting the level for the dinos on your server, it's best to stick with the Override Official Difficulty values. The formula for calculating dino levels is as follows:
- Maximum wild dinosaur level = Override Official Difficulty x30
- Difference in wild dinosaur levels = Override Official Difficulty
For example: An Override Official Difficulty value of 10 will result in a maximum wild dino level of 300, with levels being 10, 20, 30, etc. The only exception to this rule is when it comes to wyverns and boss monsters, as the maximum level can be "(Override Official Difficulty+1)x30", so an OOD value of 30 can result in a level 330 wyvern.
Cluster Servers
With ARK, multiple servers can be run in parallel to allow transfers between them, such as from The Island to Extinction, Aberration, Ragnarok, etc. For further information about cluster servers, please see ARK: Server Clusters for more information.

Levels
Modifying an ARK server to add in extra levels, modify existing ones or the engrams received, is very easy and can be done via two methods: via the Modify Server Config tool or directly modifying the Game.ini file.
NOTE: ARK reserves the last 30 levels for Ascension, no matter how the leveling data is modified. At this time, the default maximum level for players without Ascension is level 105 and with full Ascension is 135. If you wish for your players to reach level 150 without Ascension, then you need to add in leveling data up to level 180.
Modify Server Config Method
To get started with adding in levels for your ARK, you will need to open up the Modify Server Config tool. On the left side, find the tab labeled Player Levels and click on it. You will be taken to a section with the text, Player Levels Configuration and two radio buttons. Click on the first radio button next to Make Changes and the leveling configuration section will display, as shown below.
- Make Changes
- When this button is selected, the aforementioned table will display, allowing users to change the leveling data for their server.
- Leave Default
- This reverts the leveling process back to the default values. As of October 15th, 2018 level 134 is the maximum level obtained by players by default.
- + Add Level
- This button adds a level at the bottom of the configuration tool with empty values for both XP Required and Engrams Received.
- - Remove Level
- This button removes the highest level from the tool.
- XP Required
- This is the total amount of XP needed to reach this level. This value must ALWAYS be equal or greater to the previous level's value or you will encounter leveling issues.
- Engrams Received
- This is the amount of engrams gained when reaching this level. This value can be 0 or greater.
When you add levels, you will need to scroll down to the bottom of the section and input the data for each of the levels, as shown below:
Modifying Game.ini
Alternatively, if you are adding a vast amount of leveling data and do not want to add in the data one at a time via the Modify Server Config tool, you can do so by accessing the Game.ini file. For PC users, you will need to use FTP Access to connect to your server and upload or modify your Game.ini file. For PS4 users, you can click on the Game.ini button located on your control panel and directly edit it there.

Stats
Player and Dino stats are represented by multiple sections of stats. There are a total of five different blocks for stats and they are listed as follows:
- PlayerBaseStatMutlipliers[0]=1.0
- Base stats for the player, such as starting health, oxygen, and crafting speed.
- PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[0]=1.0
- Bonuses applied to specific stats per level up.
- PerLevelStatsMultiplier_DinoTamed[0]=1.0
- Bonuses applied to specific stats for a tamed dino upon leveling up.
- PerLevelStatsMultiplier_DinoTamed_Affinity[0]=1.0
- A bonus applied to dinos as they are tamed, based on the affinity level during the taming process.
Stats are broken down into the following attributes:
- 0: Health
- 1: Stamina / Charge Capacity
- 2: Torpidity
- 3: Oxygen / Charge Regeneration
- 4: Food
- 5: Water
- 6: Temperature
- 7: Weight
- 8: MeleeDamageMultiplier / Charge Emission Range
- 9: SpeedMultiplier (excluding flying dinos)
- 10: TemperatureFortitude
- 11: CraftingSpeedMultiplier (players only)
An example of modifying a player's base health (200) can be shown below:
- PlayerBaseStatMultipliers[0]=5.0
- The player now has 1,000 HP as a base stat value.

Dino Mating, Hatching, and Maturing
For configuring dino breeding settings, there are a few variables that can be edited via the Modify Server Config tool. Please note, that any changes will not retroactively apply to dinos that are undergoing one of these processes. Once a new stage is reached, the new multipliers will go into effect.
- MatingIntervalMultiplier=1.0
- 100% speed. Setting this value lower will cause dinos to mate more frequently.
- MatingSpeedMultiplier=1.0
- Higher values make the speed at which dinos mate faster.
- LayEggIntervalMultiplier=1.0
- 100% speed. Higher numbers will increase the time it takes for dinos to lay eggs. Smaller numbers increases egg laying frequency.
- EggHatchSpeedMultiplier=1.0
- 100% speed. Higher numbers decreases the time it takes for an egg to hatch into a baby.
- BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier=1.0
- 100% speed. Higher numbers decreases the time it takes for a baby to mature to a fully grown adult.
Claiming Leftover Dinos
To reclaim dinos and structures from your previous tribe, please do the following:
- Open up the console and type in enablecheats ADMINPASSWORD, where ADMINPASSWORD is the password you have set in the control panel for administrative access.
- Create a new tribe for yourself.
- Go to your previous tribe's structures and make sure you have it targeted.
- With a structure targeted, open up the console and type cheat TakeAllStructure. You should have full ownership of the structures as if you created them yourself.
- Now, to claim ownership of the tribe's dinos, type in cheat TakeAllDino with the structure still targeted. You should now have full ownership of all dinos that were previously owned by your old tribe.

Auto Decay and Destruct Structures
To cleanup old structures and tamed dinos, a server can enable Auto Decay and Auto Destruction. Structures and Dinos have their own decay / destruct timers, with tamed dinos having an additional setting that allows them to be claimed after a set time. These timers will count down unless a tribe member is in close proximity and has the structure within "draw" distance. (i.e they can see it on their computer screen) However, if a tribe member is not nearby, the timers for the structure or tamed dino will start counting down.
- Auto Decay - The amount of time until a structure is available for demolishing by a player.
- Auto Destruct - The amount of time, after Auto Decay has expired, until a structure will be automatically demolished.
Each structure is categorized into one of four classes, per building type, each with their own decay/destruct time variables. By default, these are the times per each building type.
- Thatch - 4 days
- Wood - 8 days
- Stone - 12 days
- Metal - 16 days
Turning on Auto Decay and Auto Destruct for your server can help improve performance and clean up old buildings scattered across the server. To turn this setting on, click on the Advanced Launch Params button on your control panel and look for the setting shown in the screenshot below. Check the box and scroll down to the bottom of the pop-out window and click the button to save settings and resatrt your game server.
For those who want to fine tune the decay and destruction multipliers, you can do so via the GameUserSettings.ini file with the settings listed below. For PvP servers, you MUST use all PvE variables, while PvE servers do not need the PvP settings. (it's good practice to include them anyway)
- DisableStructureDecayPVE=false
- DisableStructureDecayPVP=false
- PvPStructureDecay=true
- PvEStructureDecay=true
- PvEStructureDecayPeriodMultiplier=1.0
- PvPStructureDecayPeriodMultiplier=1.0
- PvEStructureDecayDestructionPeriod=1.0
- PvPStructureDecayDestructionPeriod=1.0
- AutoDestroyOldStructuresMultiplier=1.0
- PvEDinoDecayPeriodMultiplier=1.0
- PvPDinoDecayPeriodMultiplier=1.0

Harvests, Items, and Supply Drop Settings
Harvesting
When setting up harvesting amounts for your server, there are two different multipliers to take into effect. HarvestMultiplier and HarvestResourceItemAmountClassMultipliers.
- HarvestMultiplier - The most common one. This controls the number of gathering attempts are calculated during a single gathering attempt.
- HarvestResourceItemAmountClassMultipliers - This controls the amount of resources gained when a specific item is successfully mined from a harvesting node, such as Thatch from a tree.
As expected, if the HarvestMultiplier value is set too high, this can cause issues with server lag and performance upon any harvesting attempt due to the increased number of calculations to perform per attempt. To give players plenty of resources without causing server lag, it is suggested to use the HarvestResourceItemAmountClassMultipliers variable instead. The latter can be achieved via the Modify Server Config tool found within the control panel, with instructions on how to do so below.
- After opening the Modify Server Config window, there will be multiple options on the left pane that allow travel to specific segments in the tool. Click on the option for Harvestable Items Multipliers Overrides.
- Click on the radio button to "Make Changes". This will open up a list similar to the screenshot below.
- With the expanded list, make changes to the multipliers for each resource as needed. Each harvestable item is represented in the list below.
- Once down, scroll down to the bottom of the Modify Server Config tool and click on the button to save settings and restart the game server.

Supply Drops and Beacon
An easy way to modify supply drops across the various ARK maps can be done with a handy application named Beacon. Beacon offers a simple user interface to help customize drops on the various maps as well as differentiating between normal/bonus supply drops.
Beacon - How To and Example
Below is an "Editor's Choice" of supply drop additions for The Island, Center, Ragnarok, and other maps that use the default supply drops. While this is subject to future modification, the beacon code does two major things:
- Adds Red, Blue, and Green Gems, as well as Element, Corrupted Wood, and Fungal Wood to drops.
- Adds costume pieces and skins across all different beacons with a low chance of appearing. Bonus drops have different loot tables!
Simply copy and paste the below code, removing any empty lines and any colons affixed to the "Config" word in each line, into your Game.ini file and restart your game server. You may need to shut down your server first before making edits to your config files.

Engram Settings
Unlocking Engrams
To enable engrams to automatically unlock when a player gains a level, you will need to edit Game.ini in the same fashion as adding in Engram Crafting Cost Replacements. For PC users, you will need to use FTP Access, while PS4 users can modify the file directly from the control panel. Open the file and, at the bottom of the /Script/ShooterGame.ShooterGameMode section, put this code on its own separate line:
- bAutoUnlockAllEngrams=true
Another method is to unlock everything for survivors the moment they join. In order to do this, copy the code listed under the Expand button at the bottom of this paragraph, then paste it in the Game.ini file.
Please note that these are a "manual" changes outside of the Modify Server Config tool, similar to Engram Crafting Cost Replacements. If you make any changes with the MSC tool, you will need to add this code once again.
Recipe Cost Changes
To change the material cost of recipes for engrams, you will need to modify the Game.ini file. For PC users, you will need to use FTP Access, while PS4 users can modify the file directly from the control panel. (In either case, it is strongly advised that you stop the game server first) The code entry, ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts must be added, per engram, at the bottom of the /Script/ShooterGame.ShooterGameMode section within the Game.ini file.
The format for the code example is as follows:
- ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts=(ItemClassString="ENGRAM_TO_MODIFY",BaseCraftingResourceRequirements=((ResourceItemTypeString="RESOURCE_1_ITEM_CODE",BaseResourceRequirement=ITEM_COST,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=EXACT_RESOURCES_TRUE_OR_FALSE),(ResourceItemTypeString="RESOURCE_2_ITEM_CODE",BaseResourceRequirement=ITEM_COST,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=EXACT_RESOURCES_TRUE_OR_FALSE)))
In this example code, this changes the item Cementing Paste to require only one Stone.
- ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts=(ItemClassString="PrimalItemResource_ChitinPaste_C",BaseCraftingResourceRequirements=((ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Stone_C",BaseResourceRequirement=1.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false)))
Both parenthesis following BaseCraftingResourceRequirements must be present, even if there is only one reagent. Here is an example of another item being replaced, specifically the Stone Hatchet.
- ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts=(ItemClassString="PrimalItem_WeaponStoneHatchet_C",BaseCraftingResourceRequirements=((ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Thatch_C",BaseResourceRequirement=1.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemAmmo_ArrowStone_C",BaseResourceRequirement=2.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false)))
This replacement code changes the resource requirements for the hatchet to be one piece of Thatch and two Stone Arrows. For a list of Item IDs to use for engram cost replacements, please refer to this page | ARK: Item IDs List
NOTE: Changes made through FTP access or by modifying the GameUserSettings.ini or Game.ini directly will be erased if you use the Modify Server Config tool to save changes. It is strongly recommended that you save any code that you add in manually to either configuration file.
Engram Modifications
Disabling Engrams
In the Modify Server Config, there are customizations you can do to disable engrams, change the engram point cost, or if they require prerequisites before they can be learned. For a list of the names / classes of the engrams, please visit this page: https://ark.gamepedia.com/Engram_Classnames
NOTE: If you are disabling engrams, make sure the engram cost and level required match with the defaults provided in the list above or the disabling setting will not work correctly.
Events
Enabling Events
Events can be enabled by clicking Advanced Launch Params from within your control panel.
NOTE: Ark events can no longer be activated at any time. Only the event the developers are currently hosting (Limited Time) will function properly. Any other event that is activated will either not work or will be missing features. The developers state that this decision was made due to performance and memory reasons.

Since its initial release back in 2015, Ark has done phenomenally well in sales.
While the world of Ark is conventionally stylized to be played with others online, there is a separate Single Player mode for people like myself who like to tell themselves single-player campaigns are not dead yet.
Other ARK Guides: Ark Caves Guide: All Island Cave Locations And Rewards
The fact that the game has mainly catered to its online community becomes manifest when we check out the mixed reviews that the game is met with. Because of this, the offline mode and its unoptimized default mechanics made for a sour experience for gamers worldwide.
So, below is a guide for Ark Single Player Settings that will mitigate the grind and make for a more enjoyable play-through and guarantee a far fairer and balanced run that sometimes even the Online Mode struggles to achieve.
ARK Single Player Settings
We will be covering both the General and Advanced settings in this guide. Following these steps will ensure the best offline experience for you!
Restore the Default Settings
Clear any existing settings you might have as we will only be changing a handful of those and setting all of them manually is time lost that would be better spent fighting Dinos eight times your size.
Difficulty to 1.0
This does not change the overall difficulty of the game. Rather, it increases the maximum level of dinosaurs that spawn (which should be 150 if you followed this guide correctly)
This might make the bosses a bit tough but who doesn’t enjoy a good challenge every once in a while?
XP Multiplier to 1.5
This is one of the settings that have been patched by the developers and yet still managed to turn out inconvenient! Setting the XP multiplier to 1.5 will make the XP gain more bearable without breaking the game
Taming Speed to 5.0
This will allow you to tame Dinos at 5x and save you a lot of food!
Harvest Amount to 1.5
This increases the number of trees and shrubbery around. Not only will this allow for more resources to build walls and shelter from, but it also keeps your world from looking bland.
Dino Character Recovery to 2.0
The bigger boys in your collection with a greater amount of health take too long to heal. This increases their healing speed by 2x and makes the pace noticeably consistent.
Disable Your Crosshair
You can leave this setting checked, but it is HIGHLY advised that you don’t.
The player is provided access to various attachments, and iron sights that serve as crosshairs so enabling the game’s own crosshair ruins the immersion aspect and renders quite a few in-game items useless for your Ark Single Player run.
Enable “Max Difficulty”
This will ensure that all the Dinos on the map are Level 150, which we want. The loot, the challenge, and the flow of the combat are made moderately better.
Use Single Player Settings
Checking this option will automatically optimize some of the Ark Single Player settings later on since it is tailored specifically for single-player runs.
Use Corpse Locator
A green light will linger about in the sky for some time that you can use to track the location of your unfortunate demise. It’s a neat little addition that saves you the time and effort to tame some Troodons.
Disable Structure Placement Collision
Checking this makes for a more accurate building where nothing is overlapping or being intertwined. It looks neat!
Allow Unlimited Respecs
This setting will grant the player access to Mind Wipe Tonic, which allows for infinite respecs. If you choose to leave this option unchecked, you will only be able to respec once.
Allow “Override Structure Platform Prevention”
Moving on to the Advanced Settings, this will allow you to place irrigation pipes and Tek Generators on platform saddle buildings, which is crucial if you intend to play Ark Single Player.
Mating Interval to 0.5
The Dinos in your collection will mate twice as fast, which means you have more time to enjoy your Ark Single Player run!
Egg Hatch Speed to 3.0
Depending on the type of dinosaur, eggs will hatch at a faster pace of about 17-20 minutes on average. This fits in well with the other settings’ pacing, and your playthrough will not feel inconsistent.
Harvest Health to 2.0
This setting is mainly for immersion and realism purposes. This setting makes your game pace more natural simply by altering the number of hits it takes to down Harvest.
Baby Cuddle Interval Multiplier to 0.15
Who wouldn’t want to cuddle small deadly lizards? Setting the Cuddle Interval Multiplier to 0.15 along with the Use Single Player Settings box checked, you will be able to cuddle the babies about every 10 minutes for imprinting.
Baby Cuddle Grace Multiplier to 10.0
This option sets the chance/rate of imprinting to 100%, granted that you utilized all of your cuddles. This means better stats for your Dinos.
No Resource Radius
Set Player to 4.0 and Set No Resource Radius: Structures to 2.0. This saves the player from any annoying and unfortunate spawns. Personal space is important!
Set Crop Growth Speed to 2.0
Crops will grow faster and fit in with the overall pace
Allow Custom Recipes
Disabling this means you won’t be able to make and savor your favorite dish!
Allow Raid Dino Feeding
This setting is to ensure that unofficial Raid Dinos do not starve to death like they usually do. However, it is hard enough taming these beasts. Treat yourself and ensure they stick around in Ark Single Player!
Conclusion
The above-stated settings have been derived with a stabilized playthrough in mind that still serves as a decent challenge for all those who desire to enjoy Ark Single Player mode to the fullest.
The descriptions of each setting are available and the respective settings can be tweaked if the players want to simplify or amplify their Single Player experience. While you are here, also check out How To Get All Pets In Terraria.
