Y’aaaaall, it’s finally springtime! Well, for us northern hemisphere folks, that is. Spring is always my favourite time of year, but this year it is definitely a figurative and literal breath of fresh air. A balm for lockdown blues, a sunny salve for the seasonally disheartened–just damn lovely, really. As much as I’ve been enjoying my recent downtime of not blogging so much (wow, not being allowed to leave the house really takes it out of you, huh??), it was so nice yesterday to unpack a parcel of new Hell Bunny spring/summer goodies and to dash out into the sun to take some pictures for you. Was it cold as heck, despite the sunny glow in these pictures? Hell yes! Am I thrilled to be sharing with you my first summery dress of the season, with the promise of cautious garden hangouts beckoning on the flowering horizon? YES! Let’s go.
Dress:Chantilly 50s dressgifted by Hell Bunny
Bag:Bamboo bag from eBay
Bangles:Wooden bangles by Grass Fields + Fakelite by Splendette
Wedges:Tan Martinique Wedges previously gifted by Hotter Shoes
I love that this dress is the same fun, bright shade of blue that I associate with clear skies on warm days. It immediately makes me feel happy just looking at it, especially with these lovely pink flowers scattered throughout the print. If spring is serving as a breath of fresh air right now, so is this dress.
The sweetheart neckline is, as they always are, ever so sweet, but the combination of off the shoulder sleeves and shoulder straps gives this dress an interesting design feature that hints at cold shoulder dresses but at an elevated level. It’s a dress cut that Hell Bunny have offered before in their Made in England collection, in lots of plain colours as the Helen dress, and in another new printed floral for this season as the Summer breeze dress, in a light pink floral bouquet print. If this dress cut isn’t for you but you love the print, this fabric is also used for the Chantilly Mid Dress, a short sleeved flared dress that has a more 40s shape.
The Chantilly is a perfect little summer dress in no small part because it has my forever favourite addition, pockets, but also for it’s full skirt. A medium-full volume petticoat would fit beautifully, but I loved the casual look it gave to go without in these photos and just let the dress hang as is.
I asked for this in my usual Hell Bunny size 2XL/18. The waist is 38 inches flat with stretch to 40, while the bust measures 46 inches with an inch or so of stretch. The sleeves feature a lovely pleated detail on the top half and I’m pleased to report they were perfectly comfortable for my chubby upper arms. I typically find sleeves that end as these do in the middle of my bicep will pinch and dig in more often than not, across almost every brand, but these don’t. The armholes measure 16 inches in circumference and have some additional give thanks to the slight stretch in the fabric. This dress closes with a concealed back zip. The skirt is 26 inches long.
The Chantilly 50s dress comes in sizes XS-6XL, as one of the pieces in Hell Bunny’s extended sizing line that they’re regularly expanding. Hell Bunny ship worldwide and have stockists, both in store and online, all over the globe.

I’m always honest here on the blog, there would be no point in offering you size and fit reviews if I wasn’t, but I’m about to be honest in a way that’s probably going to upset some of you: I don’t like Halloween. I actually kind of…hate it. Yeah, I know. But spiders? Hate them. Bats? Sure, I get that they are kinda like cute winged puppies in stasis, but in motion I would not want one of those suckers flying anywhere near my person and my easily-tangled hair. Pumpkins? I think the only acceptable shade of orange is rust, otherwise it’s ugly AF, so a tasteless bumpy vegetable that is glaringly orange obviously will not win me over. Spooky things? Nah, I don’t like being scared or anything close to it; I think people who enjoy being spooked must have evolved from the hunters of our species. My over-cautious, risk-adverse brain, contrarily, definitely evolved from a long line of quiet clan members who volunteered during each hunt to stay in the cave to count out what remains of the firewood stack.
Halloween is not for me and it’s aesthetic kind of grates on my visual nerves. Sorry not sorry. Big time shrug emoji, y’all.
Why is this relevant, I hear many of you mumbling to yourselves through gritted teeth and memeified clenched Arthur fists? Your slimy green blood is boiling, you’re trying hard resist the urge to smash your new ‘ghoulfriends’ mug on the floor in slighted rage. Well, it’s relevant because I know for many of you this dress is automatically a hALloWeEn dReSs, and because it is very Beetlejuice I must concede the fact that, yes, it really is a very good Halloween dress. But it is also just a black and white dress, and that monochromatic style-tabula rasa is something I am much more here for.

Do I start singing Lonely Island’s ‘Lazy Sunday’ to myself every time I see this Frilly Sundae dress by Hell Bunny? Yes, of course I do. Am I embarrassed to admit that? No, of course I’m not. Is it a cute-ass dress? Yes, of course it is, let’s stop messing around with this nonsense and take a look at it!

It’s that time of year when the sun is playing coy with us here in the UK; bright one day, snowing the next (no, literally, today it’s snowing up north, but yesterday we had a lovely sunny day here down south.) So when there’s a chance to throw on a summery dress, boy does it feel glorious. And it doesn’t get much more summery than this tropical little Hell Bunny number.

I rarely wear floaty dresses, so fond am I of a full skirt and a cinched waist. This Magnolia dress, however, is just too lovely to deny, so I think it’s time to float away with it.

If there’s a perfect name for this pinafore–and the plaid it shares with the rest of its jointly named collection–it is certainly the Teen Spirit pinafore. There’s no doubt the bold block plaid is giving me 90s grunge vibes, even as the shaping of the skirt leaves room for vintage styling. We love a hybrid.

I’ll be the first to admit I have a lot of coats. Enough to cover all the bases–rainy weather, only slightly chilly, full on freezing, somewhat casual, full on glamour. I thought I had pretty much everything I needed, especially since I have two coats that feature faux fur. But it occurred to me that I don’t have a more ‘casual’ coat (but my standards) that also has faux fur. Because, as it turns out, that totally exists, and it’s awesome!

It’s time for plaaaaids and cheeecks and tartaaaans and–oh, wait, you can’t tell I’m sing-songing that to myself as I type, like an excited child, can you? Oh right. Well…this is awkward. Let’s just agree not to reference this part in future and move right on to the pictures.

One of the best things about summer, to me, is being able to wear floaty summer dresses. Give me a strappy sundress on a hot day and I will be relieved and happy. In England, of course, you often have to have a cardigan to hand in case the sun comes with a breeze, or just disappears later in the day entirely. But even considering that, a sundress day is a happy day, and this Chiara dress is ready to please.

If there’s one item of clothing that works as a perfect wardrobe staple for vintage-style lovers, it’s a gathered skirt. They’re easy to dress both up and down, you can use them to create a great 1950s inspired outfit but you can also just rock them in a dozen ways to look entirely modern. They’re easy to wear, offer variety, and, if you’re super lucky, they have pockets, like this awesome Victorine 50s skirt by Hell Bunny.

Sizing is off
Sizing is off, my "mini-skirt" is past knee length, and the bust dart is wrong on ONE SIDE of my pinafore so that one breast has a pointy, vacant pocket of fabric at the tip. I'd return the item as faulty, but other reviews warn that their refund practices are unreliable. I guess I'd rather have a weird pinafore than pay out the ass for return shipping and cross my fingers for a refund. Learn from my mistake and spend your money somewhere that cares about your satisfaction with their product.
Brilliant Customer Service!
I ordered a dress and it was too big, but I left it very late to try and get a replacement in a smaller size. I placed another order anyway and emailed customer service to see if they could rush it through for me. They responded straight away and got the replacement delivered the following day for me. So happy with their customer service and the fact they went out of their way to help me get my order early. Great company!
Be aware!
I order a dress according to their size chart and the dress arrived 3 times larger. I was swimming in it. Either the size charts are incorrect or the dress labeling is incorrect. They do not have return shipping policy so I was expected to pay $80.00 to return a $58.00 dress. (The return address is international so it costs a lot more) I contacted Customer Service many times asking for an exchange, as I like the dress, however they are uncompromisable and unwilling to accept any fault. So basically, if you order from them and there is any error with your order you are out the money if not more money to return it. This is a scam and they are stealing peoples money. Stay away from this online company.
Not really helpful
Had a faulty item, I was sent a replacement without asking whether I want a refund, I asked to return it and they agreed, I wasn't able to do within 30 days as I was dealing with a broken elbow and they've now ignored my last email for over a week.
Not really sure why I'm not allowed to return it now when I never asked for a replacement and was just overall unhappy with the quality of the item.

Amazing
Don't get why there are bad reviews
I had no issues, fast communication with a lovely person via messenger on Facebook. Fast delivery via DPD and was tracked, gorgeous coat that fits really nice because I measured myself before buying! Best coat I have ever purchased
Outrageous returns and exchange policy
Outrageous returns and exchange policy. My sister kindly ordered me some dresses for my birthday from HellBunny. Unfortunately one was too big so I enquired if I could exchange it for a size smaller. They have an incredibly rigid policy that does not allow exchanges, so I would have had to pay to return the dress and then ask my sister to order me a new one. Even if this wasn't a gift, this is ridiculous customer service, as you never know how something is going to fit until you've tried it on. Totally unreasonable. But at least they're making a quick buck for themselves.

Cheaply dyed Jeans that leaves streaks!
I ordered some jeans in black. The size and fit was perfect and I was super happy with them. However after I washed them they now have unsightly streaks all down the legs. I can't wear them anymore!. Looks as though they have used a cheap dye and I even used a cool wash!! Not happy.
Sizing is dreadful and customer service… AVOID AVOID AVOID
Sizing is dreadful and customer service is awful, rude and very untrustworthy company.
First order they only shipped half the order and had to chase for my money, as they still tried to charge the full amount, second order the sizes where way off, third order well what can i say, i wont be ordering again, have never come across such rude staff in my life, dont rely on the sizes at all, they are dishonest at this company, i gave them 3 chances and got fobbed off each time. AVOID AVOID AVOID
Don't rely too much on their size chart..
Don't rely too much on their sizing chart - according to the chart I should have been a small (UK10) but based on other reviews I read, I went for an extra small in all of the dresses I tried. The fit was perfect on all of them except one, which I would need to size up in (this was a pencil dress so was more fitted than the other dress styles I ordered).
I contacted hell bunny on Facebook before ordering about sizing and they told me to go by the size chart which was fairly unhelpful given that the size chart isn't accurate.
Returns are not free which is definitely a negative point, as this can be quite expensive. The dresses were lovely though!
Poor customer service skills
Love the item, but customer service is appalling. Only real way to chat is through messenger and they spoke to me as if I’m stupid. Very blunt and no customer service skills, I am a customer and thus should be spoken to in a manner fitting. Will not use this company again for that reason.
Is burgundy red? Then why not call all red burgundy?
What is most misleading is when the clothes on picture is not the same as the one sent and that happened to me. If I am going to be sent a burgundy instead of red then why bother asking me what colour do I want. Such discrepancies is so annoying and to think of returning item when one is busy has a baby and time is so precious I think I am going to end up settling with the colour sent to me. Burgundy is not red. Red suits me and burgundy does not. It is as simple as that when it comes to clothing colour and us women. I don't think I will be ordering again. I gave three star because despite coming across as a brand that sends random colours the buttons weren't falling apart but in all truth with the inconvenience of settling for burgundy (when it was not even on the option) I would have given two star. It reached so swift and on time though but not at all satisfied with the colour and the liberty they took to send just any colour that was not even on the site.
AVOID!
Absolutely 100% DO NOT recommend purchasing from this company.
I received several items recently, one of which was a cardigan that was faulty. As per their website I contacted Hell Bunny to inform of the fault and was told to post this item back separately from the others at my own cost and I would be refunded when confirmed as faulty.
I sent several photos through of the faults first and could have been given confirmation of fault at this stage but wasn’t.
Fast forward several weeks later and I hadn’t heard anything about my return. I had to email to follow up and only then received my money back, but no refund for my postage costs. After emailing again I was told the cardigan wasn’t considered faulty so they wouldn’t refund me that amount. At the time of posting I was told by the agent it would have only cost a couple of dollars more to post all items together. Essentially I have been penalised as a customer for doing the right thing and informing the company of this fault before returning.
I have submitted a formal complaint to the customer service manager about how this process puts customers at a disadvantage and they have failed to respond after several days. This service has been awful and I would recommend that you avoid this company if you don’t want to be out of pocket!
Clash Skinny Trousers
I measured myself and ordered the Clash Skinny trousers based on the sizing indicated . They were too large so I had to order again.
Pros:
1. The trousers are lovely, the fabric is soft, stretchy and the quality is fantastic.
2. Delivery is free. Which is awesome. And really speedy. I received them the day after placing the order.
Cons:
1. The recommended sizing measurements on the site aren’t great. I could probably have gone down yet another size but decided I could make do. They come up large.
2. There aren’t any free returns unless your item is faulty and their website states that if the deem your returned garment to not be faulty, they won’t refund you. I would have thought free returns to a designated store (which most companies offer) would be incredibly useful as an option to your customers rather than making them pay for tracked shipping.
3. The returns note isn’t printed, so you have to write in the order number, garment details etc like it’s 1993 and you’re returning a Kay’s Catalogue order. You also have to hand write the returns label which even Kay’s didn’t make you do. Not such a big deal, I know, but it’s such a small thing for a company to preprint this information on the returns note along with an address label (doesn’t even have to be sticky). But that’s just my cantankerous old self picking at bones.
So while it’s a 5/5 for the trousers (which really are gorgeous), a 5/5 for super speedy delivery, it’s a 1/5 for the sizing on-site, and the same for returns process.
Great experience with Hell Bunny
Had my first experience ordering from Hell Bunny in the past week. Great company to deal with. Lovely clothes arrived promptly and without quibble. Had a wee issue at the checkout in using a fifteen percent off coupon. I instant messaged customer service and they sorted everything promptly and refunded me for the extra money. Highly recommended and credit where it's due! 👏
Received my order today after speaking…
Received my order today after speaking with hell bunny to make sure I ordered correct they advised my based on my measurements to order in a medium I did this and when my item arrived it is way to big, they want me to pay to return the item before I will get a refund for the item but not any postage so will be out of pocket almost £10 when this was there fault. The customer service number can only be contacted between 12-3 weekdays and the online chat can barely help. Will not be ordering anything from this company again after this experience.

She crouched even deeper, mixing so that she was completely under the croup. Of the animal, facing its tail. She squeezed the head with both hands as if squeezing it and opened her mouth wide, catching with her tongue a silvery thick tape of viscous grease. That slowly fell from the opening of the animal's urethra.

This is the car, which the fans of river fishing set off in, and let the company of the political officer and Matsko down: both cardan shafts "flew" from. Him. Warrant officer Babenko, as an inveterate hunter and well-versed in the area, who rode with a cheerful company, found some cones. Nearby who were gathering pine nuts. This lesson was interesting and not very difficult.
