After paying and reserving a bed base. At pickup they told us it had ALREADY sold! Oh and the beat part is we get to wait two days for a refund!! What kind of service is that ?!?!

My mother was denied service. She is 70 and cannot wear a mask due to extreme claustrophobia and anxiety as a result of sexual assault in her youth. The manager on duty rudely told us that she couldn’t shop there if she didn’t wear a mask. That was after telling him why she couldn’t. All we wanted was for 15 minutes... read full comment

Would have given them 5 stars a few months ago, but their prices keep rising. For things that would otherwise end up in the dump, but for their store.

From Teton Habitat ReStore

We received direction from Habitat for Humanity International to close the ReStore in order to protect our ReStore shoppers, donors and staff. Although we are uncertain how long this closure will last, we look forward to the opportunity to reopening our doors so that we can continue to serve the community.

Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area: #humansofjhchamber

It started with a small group of individuals 21 years ago who saw a need for lower-end, entry level housing for members of our workforce who don’t have the assets or ability to qualify for conventional lending or mortgages. This group of people had experienced Habitat in other communities and really thought that there was a place for it here in Jackson. Teton Habitat is an affiliate of the national organization Habitat for Humanity International.

Our mission is to build homes, communities, and hope here in the greater Teton area. The ReStore is one element of our mission—it’s basically a home goods and building materials thrift store, in which all the proceeds go into building houses for hardworking individuals and families in need of affordable and stable housing. So it’s not just a retail store; it has a special impact on affordable housing. We call it ‘the store that builds homes.’ Every single dollar spent at the ReStore helps build housing for our community.

So far we’ve built 31 homes, soon to be 33 at the end of the month. I came into this role about a year ago after working for Habitat in Tucson, Arizona and Atlanta, Georgia. I’ve always had a passion for Habitat and the way it impacts people’s lives so tangibly. It’s been really interesting to see how Habitat’s mission interacts with the community. Here in particular, it’s really helped me to see deeper within this community, beyond the beautiful surroundings and great amenities we have. I’ve been able to see the heart of the people, not only those who support and invest in our mission but also those that we work with who are so committed to building a life here.

Volunteer Today

Teton Habitat is in the final push to finish the Teton Village homes. The more volunteers the better until we can get Habitat families moved in. Come join the fun!

The Teton Village job site is open every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm. There are projects both inside and outside.  If you don't want to or can't build, a great way to volunteer is to bring lunch or snacks to the job site. We hope to see you soon.
